The Hermitage of Santa Llúcia: heritage and unique character in Alt Empordà
A 17th-century house and a listed hermitage, restored with respect
Living heritage in the Empordà: a consecrated hermitage and the hermit's house carefully restored
The Hermitage of Santa Llúcia gives its name to the house and reflects its essence: a historic complex carefully restored, surrounded by fields, in a peaceful rural setting. Here, nature and history coexist with the comfort of a house designed for family or friends’ stays.
This complex consists of the hermit's house (17th century) and the hermitage that gives it its name. The restoration (started in 2008) preserved as much as possible the original materials and elements, while incorporating the necessary comfort to make it today a welcoming place to unwind, without losing authenticity.
A meaningful space, ideal for gatherings and celebrations
Every year, around December 13 (or the closest Sunday), the Aplec de Santa Llúcia is celebrated, an event that is part of the cultural life of the territory. It shows the connection of this space with the region and its people.
The hermitage belongs to the property and is consecrated
This allows, with prior agreement, the celebration of religious ceremonies in an intimate and special setting.
